Hi, I'm Alicha

I am the founder of Alichas Stay and Play. My expertise lies in creating play sessions for children, with the ability to extend and adapt those sessions to accommodate a wide range of audiences — including elderly residents in care homes.

I am a recent graduate with a BA Hons in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and I bring eight years of experience in childcare to every session I deliver. Throughout that time, I have focused on supporting communication, language, and confidence through hands-on and creative play.

Beyond working with children, I have gained meaningful experience supporting adults through active listening and social cognitive therapeutic play — approaches that encourage independence, communication, and genuine connection.

I have had the privilege of working alongside Teachers, SENCOs, Educational Therapists, and Behavioural Therapists, which has deepened my understanding of how to deliver truly joined-up, person-centred support.

I believe in positive role modelling and building strong, trusting relationships with families and the wider community. I love planning exciting, purposeful activities that create real, positive change — and that make play feel genuinely inclusive for everyone involved.

Over the years I have developed listening skills, patience, understanding, warmth, communication, and confidence — qualities I bring to every individual I work with, every single day.
